life seed and other questions
Hi, I've just finished the green ending, then the blue one, I have to do the red one now (I guess it's Red and then Green)
I had a question about the life seed: What's the purpose?
I understand that the Death Seed is to destroy the ennemy, (and travel faster by creating Black Holes), but is there a point in creating garden worlds, besides being able to get Oxygen? Is the life seed necessary for any ending? (can I for instance "convert" ennemies by "gardening" their world instead of just destroying their sun?
(so many questions, my heard hurts ^^)

Re: life seed and other questions
The Life Seed doesn't seem to have any plot requirement.
The main point to carrying one on ship is that you can get up to 100 oxygen from the use of one Omega, instead of the usual 25. Orbit, use the Life Seed, land. This doesn't seem important enough for the space.
The other issue is that you might need a mineral like Gold that is only available on Garden planets, and you want to gamble that the new Garden planet will have that mineral. A big gamble, but possibly important if the Enemy is occupying every Garden planet in sight.

Just wanted to say that I don't thing terraforming a planet changes it's minerals. I never bother with life seed so I haven't tested, but I've wiped out a garden planet into a rocky planet via death seed and mined copper and gold on it.
