Complementary modules.

Post by Esdeve on Tue 3 Mar - 3:58

I obtained severals complementary modules, and noticed they had to be placed next to their principal associated module to work (Ex : gravitational lens for the telescope). I wondered if there is any explanation of this during the game.
It wasn't an evidence at the beginning, until I interrogated myself after thinking the one I built wasn't changing anything, and confirm theses thoughts when I saw an already working example on an alien ship.
Or it may be on purpose forcing to think the (re)organization of the ship, and so first, the understanding ? ^^

I wondered about that in the classic version as there is a special graphic tying the two modules when they are placed together but the additional one works even when they are not. So this is a change from the classic.

Spoiler answer:
Ok, I didn't test both way of installing them ^^ don't remember which technology it was but my first installation without synergy may have seemed not convincing to me so I thought it didn't work But just seeing already existing synergy made me think it was the only way of using complementary modules.
