Weird Teleport

During an event I was teleported on a system, but all stars around were out of reach. I had no other choice but quit the game.

I had the same issue.
Unlike you, I just pressed "Home" to be back on Android, then rebooted the device (I had installed a software that required reboot).
When I got back to the game I was in another solar system with stars close enough.
I think it was a previous location, the game may not have saved the last one.

This is intended. Being warped can transport you further in the game. But if you didn't upgraded the cosmic folder, it can be a trap.

After hours of gameplay, a random and unpredictable event stops your game and you have to start over.
Evil indeed.
