Meet life button disappear

Hi.
Don't know if it's on purpose or not.
I first thought there were garden planets without life, but in fact, drilling or doing some actions in the ship (I trashed something away) makes the meet life button disappear. Bug, or punishment for polluting the planet ? Certainly both.
