Couldn't reach blue ending, but random events are merciful(spoilers)

So I'm in the ship that starts with 1 power and 5 ecosystem points. You know the one with the tree inside it. I had basic modules installed plus a death seed and subspace reactors. I have the death seed so obviously I'm going for a blue ending. I come up to the alien fleet event and I lose most of my fuel, all my oxygen, all of my cobalt, and all of my omega . Pretty crap circumstances. So I try to follow the path towards that taunting blue arrow. Luckily along the way there are unoccupied garden planets willing to give me omega. And then I'm within sight of my goal Its just 2 systems away. But alas my range is  just short of the system. Devastated I try to backtrack as far as I can before I run out of something important. Along the way I hit a system that I hadn't been to. Random event time. I see the option "Jump to another system". I think to myself "Yay, a chance to get supplies and go for the blue ending. I hit it and guess where my random jump that sends me " far, far away" actually sends me. Right to the blue ending. I travel to their star and death seed that sucker giving me the blue ending. And all I can think of is Han Solo screaming "Great shot kid that was one in a million!"
