Aliens everywhere

I met alien species in nearly every system I visited including one system where all 3 planets were inhabited but the best part was that they just dropped words and tech on the ground every time so I didn't have to do the rather annoying random choice diplomacy. Awesome but it didn't get me any further as there were no gas giants to harvest fuel from as a result. Well you can't have it all lol
